Our ethos is simple – farming the land and the cattle traditionally, in tune with nature to produce delicious, tender, succulent beef
It is our aim to ensure our cattle lead as happy, healthy and stress free a life as possible.
We don’t believe in routine vaccinations or in the force feeding of concentrate to promote speedy growth. Our bullocks are allowed to grow at their own pace as nature intended.
They are free to graze the fields all year round. During the winter months when grass is in shorter supply cattle are offered home grown silage, and there is always shelter available to escape any inclement weather.
Our beef hangs for around 21 days which is about the perfect length of time for the breeds we use. As much as 2 kg of weight per day is lost during this time which is why many of the supermarkets choose to bypass a lengthy hanging process.
“Research suggests that meat from grass fed cattle, rather than grain fed, reduces the saturated fatty acid concentrations and enhances the content of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids in beef.”

All our calves are born on neighbouring farms where they stay with their mothers until they are around 8 – 9 months old. They then make the short journey to us.
We enjoy a close working relationship with the farms we use which means we can ensure they operate in a similar way and share our high welfare standards.
This means we can guarantee total traceability from field to fork as well as a slow maturing animal which makes it healthier, tastier and better for the environment.
Local orders can be delivered in our refrigerated van or we can deliver Nationwide using a courier service.
